IBG Business has been a key player in the development of the most extensive and innovative urban cable transport system in the world: the La Paz – El Alto Cable Car. Our participation in both the planning and expansion phases laid the groundwork for an emblematic project of sustainable mobility and urban development.

Phase I

We designed the roadmap that enabled the start of the system. This included market studies, definition of strategic lines, socioeconomic and financial analyses, legal and fare evaluations, as well as the master plan and intermodal integration. These studies ensured the project’s viability and guaranteed that it met the real needs of the population.

Phase II

IBG Business expanded the scope of the analyses with accurate demand projections, updated socioeconomic assessments, and road and environmental impact studies. This work ensured an orderly and sustainable expansion, in strict compliance with Bolivian regulations, and secured the necessary environmental certification to move forward with construction.
